- 3 / 5By Todd OsmulskiThere are some things this place does very well, and some things not as well as they should be. Wife, kids, and I went there for dinner tonight, a Saturday night. First, what we liked: Decent ambience for an Irish pub. Their macaroni and cheese is very good. Staff was friendly. My son loved the battered chicken tenders. Daughter thought the burger was decent.
Where there's opportunity: I ordered the meatloaf and it was tremendously dry, probably sat around for a while. My wife ordered fish and chips and the batter was still slightly wet on the inside. For being a Saturday night, I only saw one waiter on our side of the restaurant, which was about 6-8 tables, so service suffered. Three of our meals came out, the fourth came out about 5 to 8 minutes later. Dinner for the 4 of us was $70 (before tip, no alcohol) for an experience that was mediocre at best.
I would return to have a beer, but I would question my self about returning for a meal. Hopefully they were just having a bad night since there are so many other favorable reviews.
